(Cover) - EN Star Style - Cassie has urged women to follow in her mother's footsteps and take care of their skin.

The 24-year-old singer is the new face of beauty brand Carol's Daughter alongside Solange Knowles and Selita Ebanks.

The gorgeous star learned one of the most important beauty lessons from her mom. Cassie says her complexion-conscious mother believes having good skin is the key to looking gorgeous, and the star agrees.

"She was really big [on] taking care of your skin," she said. "She's got really youthful, beautiful skin."

Selita has likened her mom to secret agent MacGyver because she knows all the tricks of the trade. The 28-year-old model was handed a very useful tip when it comes to taking off her cosmetics at the end of the day.

"That woman is like MacGyver," she told People magazine "She told me to take off my make-up with oil and a warm rag and don't rub too hard, just very gentle around the eyes."

The gorgeous star also provided a great tip when it comes to avoiding dreaded cellulite. Selita says the best way to shun "sagging skin" is to "stimulate" it.

"Before you go in the shower, dry brush from the ankles up and from your arms towards the heart and it helps stimulate the skin, which helps prevent cellulite and sagging skin," she said. (C) Cover Media
