(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Charlie Sheen would love to make another season of Two and a Half Men but only if his pay is increased to $3 million per episode due to emotional distress.
The troubled star is currently locked in a bitter battle of words with the shows producer Chuck Lorre as well as Network CBS and production company Warner Bros. Last week he slammed Chuck in an interview, resulting in the network deciding to cancel the rest of the current eighth series of the show. It had been on hiatus since Charlie was hospitalised following a alleged two days of partying with porn stars, after which he began receiving rehab at home.
Charlie insists there was no reason to halt the programme as he has never been drunk or under the influence of drugs on set. He is angry it has been taken off air, and has given a series of interview to rivals of CBS this morning.
During one he says hed love to commence shooting again, but only if his reported $2 million an episode pay cheque is increased.
I'm a man of my word. I want to finish the TV show. I'll even do season ten, but at this point it's psychological distress. Oh my God. It's $3 million an episode, take it or leave it, he told NBCs Today show. Well, yeah [I want a raise], look what they put me through. ...I'm underpaid right now. You look at the money they're making, yeah, it's ridiculous.
No [I dont owe CBS an apology], they owe me a big one. Publicly. While licking my feet."
The star insists he is now free from drugs, with a test he took for website RadarOnline.com over the weekend coming back clean. He cant remember the last time he took an illegal substance, but was open about his reasons for indulging in the past.
They work. They change the way you see things, the way you feel, he said.
I don't know if I'd call [how I felt] out of control. The choices I was making were not leading to the results I wanted. Dude, youre 45 with 5 kids. Let's do something different. This is boring.
He added he is definitely at war with CBS, who he accused of trying to destroy his family. I take great umbrage with that. Defeat is not an option. They picked a fight with a warlock, he said.
The star also discussed the issue while appearing on ABC, where he admitted he is so angry he is considering suing. It has been rumoured the lawsuit could be for over $300 million. Wouldn't you? I don't have a job. I got a whole family to support ...They're gonna put [the money] on a scale and say, 'A little more, a little more. Add some gold! Add some gold! Bingo!' I'm here to collect, he said.
Charlie has two kids with ex-wife Denise Richards, twins with his estranged wife Brooke Mueller and an older daughter from a previous relationship. He insists he will have no problem discussing his issues with his children when the time is right, as he believes they will be proud of him.
God no. Talk about an education. He's our guy and he's our dad and we can get all the answers and the truth. Wow. Winning. It's how you perceive it, he told Today.
During a separate interview with a radio station, Charlie revealed he has got a new tattoo in honour of his father Martin Sheen. Its an apple with a drop of blood and the words Death From Above, and alludes to Martins 1979 movie Apocalypse Now.
[Its] the banner from the death card that Kilgore [from Apocalypse Now] is throwing on his victims, but theres also falling from it, is the apple from The Giving Tree, he said.
Theres my life. Deal with it. Oh wait, cant process it? Losers. Winning. Buh bye. (C) Cover Media
