Charlie Sheen: I'm not crazy anymore

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Charlie Sheen insists he's "not crazy anymore".

The actor hit headlines last year for his bizarre behaviour. Charlie was sacked from hit TV show Two and a Half Men after he made a number of rude statements about creator Chuck Lorre in public.

His personal life also caused a stir, with reports about alcohol and drug abuse and marital problems surfacing. Charlie was also accused of domestic violence.

Charlie insists his life has taken a turn for the better as he spoke at Sunday night's Fox Network Television Critics Association party in California.

"I'm not crazy any more. That was an episode," he laughed.

"I think I'm a different person than I was yesterday. Everything is a lot more mellow and focused and much more rooted in reality.

"I've been spending a lot of time with the kids, a lot of time with the family and I'm getting back into work mode. I'm a single guy hanging out with my children."

Charlie has been married three times and has five children. He has a daughter with Paula Profit, daughters Sam and Lola with actress Denise Richards and twins Bob and Max with Brooke Mueller.

Charlie is looking forward to working on his new FX show, Anger Management. He will star and produce in it.

The 46-year-old is glad to be in the driving seat.

"I've been at this 30 years. It's nice to be in a situation where the people I'm working with are excited about my input. That wasn't the case for a long time," he said.

Charlie was replaced by Ashton Kutcher on Two and a Half Men after his character Charlie Harper was written out of the show. His funeral opened the sitcom's new season last September.

Charlie was baffled by the plot.

"It was a little bizarre to watch your own funeral. It was a little mean-spirited. But it's dead and buried now, right?" he mused. (C) Cover Media
