(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Charlie Sheen did not attend his twin sons second birthday party over the weekend.
The troubled actor has Max and Bob with his estranged-wife Brooke Mueller, who he is currently in the process of divorcing. Charlies behaviour has become increasingly erratic over the last few weeks, and Brooke recently filed a restraining order against him alleging he had made violent threats to her.
The complaint meant he wasnt allowed to see Bob and Max, but last week he and Brooke thrashed out a custody deal so they could avoid going to court. The twins turn two today, but celebrated with a lavish party yesterday. Despite Brooke and Charlies relationship improving, he was not at the bash.
Brooke seemed to have a good time too and was relaxed and happy. She seemed focused on her kids and nothing else," a source told UsMagazine.com. "There was a lot of security outside at all times to make sure no uninvited guests got in. There was no sign of Charlie at the party.
The birthday party was held at the Bel Air home of Kathy Hilton mother of Paris and Nicky Hilton. There were about 60 people at the celebration, among them Nicky and David Katzenberg.
The outside area of the mansion was decorated in red, yellow and blue, with balloons all over the place and a huge bouncy castle for the kids. Food included a noodle dish and chocolate cake.
Max and Bob were in heaven running around and sliding down the slide of the bounce house, the insider added. They got a ton of presents including tee ball sets and race cars.
Last week, there were reports Charlie wanted to hold the birthday party at his home and invite all the boys friends, but Brooke was not said to be keen on the idea.
Fears for Charlies mental health have grown over the last few weeks, after he gave a string of bizarre interviews in which he criticised those he worked with on his show Two and a Half Men. He was eventually fired for the comments, and last week filed a $100 million lawsuit claiming the shows producer Chuck Lorre had wanted him off the programme for a long time.
Charlie has also slammed Alcoholics Anonymous, and been open about his current relationship with two women. Last week, his home was searched by police looking for guns. (C) Cover Media
