Charlie Sheen's ex wants salary payments

29th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Charlie Sheen's ex-wife Brooke Mueller has filed legal documents to ensure her $55,000 a month child support payments come directly from his salary.

The troubled star has two-year-old twin boys, Max and Bob, with Brooke and she has been granted the monthly amount to look after them.

But Brooke, who has suffered from substance abuse problems and has had multiple trips to rehab, wants to ensure she receives the payments directly from Charlie's earnings.

Her attorney filed an "income withholding for support" document with the courts and the paperwork was filed to Warner Bros. who produce hit television show Two and a Half Men. Charlie was sacked from the programme earlier this year but he still receives payments from the company.

Charlie, who was paid a reported $2 million per episode, was fired for misconduct but he will receive residual money from the studio for years to come.

The legal documents filed require Warner Bros. to withhold $55,000 a month from Charlie's salary and be sent directly to Brooke for support of the two toddlers.

The paperwork states that payment must be received by June 29 and the studio has to comply as the request has been signed off by a judge.

Sources have told American website TMZ that the 45-year-old actor is not behind on his payments but Brooke wants to ensure that she is guaranteed the money if Charlie ever runs low on cash. (C) Cover Media
