Although A.R. Rahman was very much clear about his statement that he would not win academy awards this time, the entire Nation had its hopes mounted on his nominations for 'Best Original Score' and 'Best Song' for the movie '127 Hours'. Unfortunately, 2 Academy award winner failed to gain the honors as he lost of 'The Social Network' in 'Background Score' and 'Country Song' in 'Best Song Category'. Earlier A.R. Rahman had said that he has got more than he expected as he won almost all the prestigious awards in 2009 including Academy awards and Grammy awards for his mind-boggling musical score for 'Slumdog Millionaire'.
