(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katherine Jenkins' Dancing With the Stars partner Mark Ballas is sad that she has sustained an injury.

The Welsh opera star is competing on the latest season of the US TV show. Katherine has been one of the standout celebrities so far and performed beautifully Monday night until she made a misstep.

Katherine hurt her back during a salsa routine that would have been perfect had her foot not erred.

Mark was hurt to see Katherine in tears as the judges called out the scores.

"That dance in rehearsal was flawless," Mark told People magazine. "We haven't had a bumpy run of that one. Out of all the ones we've done this season that's the one I've been saying, 'You'll get a perfect score for that.' "

Mark is happy that Katherine's malady isn't dire.

"She just put her back out," Mark said. "She can walk so I know there's no bone damage."

Katherine is also in better spirits.

"Thanks for your tweets of support & concern. The good news is that I'm feeling better, just a little sore #OnwardsAndUpwards," she posted on Twitter. (C) Cover Media
