(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Cher thinks Christina Aguilera has the makings of a good actress.

The American star has just appeared in film Burlesque with Christina, who was making her big screen acting debut.

Christina has previously admitted feeling intimidated by Cher before she began shooting, because the 64-year-old was one of her idols.

However she had nothing to fear, because after working with the musician Cher thinks Christina could also make it big in the acting world.

I think that as the time went on our scenes started to get closer and closer and we started to get closer and closer and I do think that she has the makings of a good actress, Cher told the BBC Breakfast Show.

However when asked if her description of Christinas acting skills was a bit luke warm, the singer admitted she was comparing herself to Christina when she first started out in the world of Hollywood.

Cher believes it takes time to nurture true thespian ability, and like her, with help and advice Christina could become a successful film star on a par with the Oscar-winner.
