(Cover) - EN Star Style - Yasmin Kianfar felt amazing when Cheryl Cole wore one of her creations for an album shoot.
The British fashion designer who graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London only last year was overwhelmed when British beauty Cheryl Cole chose to wear one of her pieces to promote her most recent album, Messy Little Raindrops.
Yasmin was shocked when she received an email from the singers stylist asking if she could borrow a dress. The young designer had previously sent an note to a big styling agency, but didnt expect a response.
"I just thought, 'Who would I want to wear my clothes?' so I emailed a big styling agency. I never thought I'd hear back and then a few weeks later I got an email from Cheryl's stylist saying, 'Could she possibly borrow a dress?'" she told Vogue. "My mum had to drive it round to the shoot. It was amazing."
The savvy designer, 23, says that even though she is still young, she shouldnt be overlooked in the industry. She sought hands-on experience via work placements whilst studying, and she also researched extensively into marketing and photography.
"I think about marketing quite early on in the design process," she explained. "Before CSM, I used to study photography so I feel quite strongly about how the lookbook appears to everyone who sees it. I also interned with Vogue when I was at uni and that really gave me an idea of how it all joins up and where I can fit in. (C) Cover Media
