Cheryl Cole: I'm absolutely fine

20th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Cheryl Cole has revealed she's had "the weirdest few weeks" in the wake of her axe from the US X Factor.

The British songstress was sensationally let go from the judging panel of the highly-anticipated new show after it was claimed she lacked chemistry with her fellow judges including Paula Abdul. It was also claimed that Cheryl's regional accent was difficult to understand for the American audience and she wasn't being herself.

Cheryl was replaced by Nicole Scherzinger, who will join Simon Cowell, LA Reid and Paula on the show's panel. Nicole was initially brought in as the show's co-host alongside Welsh presenter Steve Jones.

Cheryl has broken her silence over the weekend to reassure fans that she's doing well and has had time to reflect on the situation. The brunette beauty even managed to make a joke about not having to wear high heels for the past few weeks.

"Where do i start? I have had the weirdest past few weeks (nothing unusual there though.) I wouldn't even know how to begin to tell you all about it. I have had the time that I have not had in so long to just chill with my loved ones and do the normal things that I like to do. See my friends and family and be with my doggys :D (sic)" she wrote on her personal blog. "It feels long overdue and sooooo good, even my feet are happy to not have to wear a pair of high heels hehe."

Cheryl has thanked her loyal fans for their support. The 27-year-old says she's grateful for the array of presents and cards she's received.

"I have the BEST, most unbelievable people out there, who I feel so lucky to call my support system. You never fail to amaze me. I have been reading your letters and opening my prezzies ( I feel very spoilt ) and hearing all of your kind, special and inspiring things you want to say to me (sic)" she gushed. "I feel your presence and strength always, and no matter what decision I make or what it is I'm facing, I appreciate you all more than you'll ever know."

Meanwhile, Cheryl's cheating ex-husband Ashley Cole has been bragging about winning back his former wife after apparently spending the night with her at their old marital home.

Friends close to Cheryl say the stunning star is considering starting over with her soccer star ex, who cheated on her with a string of girls. He is bragging that the reconciliation is a "done deal".

"Ashley gave a lost and hurt woman, whom he still loves, a place to lay her head. It reminded her of a happier time. It was masochistic of her and clever of him. He'd do anything to woo her back," a source told British newspaper The Sun. "Her PR team insist it is platonic but they are very worried." (C) Cover Media
