Chiranjeevi chanted Sonia Gandhi's name as 'adhinetri' and praised Kiran Kumar Reddy as an 'effective' CM, at the Uttarandhra Congress Garjana on Sunday, a function organised to officially merge the megstar's Praja Rajyam Party with the national party. 

He claimed the merger of his PRP into Congress was the wish of the people and he felt proud about the merger. He took a dig at Jagan, saying that the latter was creating unrest to grab power at any cost.

"It is not the rule of majesties to take over the reins. Now, people are the kings. If they like us they would re-elect us," said the actor-turned-politician.

Chiranjeevi urged the YSR party president to conduct Odarpu yatra to console those families who have lost their lands because of the so-called great leader's (read YSR) policies which spelt their doom. Taking on TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, Chiranjeevi said the seed of corruption was sown during his tenure.
