According to the grapevine, dusky beauty Chitrangada Singh will soon be cast opposite Amitabh Bachchan in Rumi Jaffery's untitled thriller.

The film has been in news for quite some time now but this development has taken everyone by surprise.

While the casting of Chitrangada isn't confirmed as yet, Rumi is extremely happy that Big B approved of the film. The writer-director confessed that he was glad to have Big B on board.

"It's my first thriller and I'm glad Amitji has okayed the subject. But the rest of the cast is yet to be finalised," he said.

Though Big B has given his nod for the film, he still hasn't given his dates as he is too busy with prior commitments as he already has quite a few projects in the pipeline.

First in the line is Shoojit Sircar's 'Piku' and two television assignments - a fiction show with Anurag Kashyap, a game quiz show and a film each with Abbas-Mustan and Umesh Shukla.

With so much on his platter already, it seems that Rumi will have to wait to direct Big B in his film.
