Renowned Bollywood choreographer Geeta Kapoor was arrested by Versova cops, after she rammed into a pedestrian, injuring him. The incident took place at 5am yesterday on J P road in Versova.

As the road was empty, the car was at a high speed, where in order to escape an accident with a biker, she lost control of the car and rammed into Noor Mohammed, who had stepped out of a medical store.

Like a responsible citizen, she immediately helped the victim by calling for an ambulance and admitting him to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri. The victim has fractured his right leg. She tried to settle the matter out of the court, but an FIR is filed against her.

Noor Mohammed said, "The car knocked me seconds after I stepped out of the medical store situated on the roadside and came on the road. Before I could realize the car knocked me down. I just remembered I was taken to the hospital."

Kapoor, who was arrested under the section 279 (rash driving) and 338 (causing grievous hurt) of the Indian Penal code is granted bail. The cops also cleared that she was not driving under the influence of alcohol.
