(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Chris Evans doesn't like life in the limelight.
The actor revealed one of the reasons he wasn't sure whether to play Captain America in upcoming movie Captain America: The First Avenger was because he treasures leading a quiet life.
The Hollywood hunk explained that while fame seems exciting, being in the public eye loses its appeal quickly.
"Fame seems fun for a second," he told Total Film magazine. "Try it for a month. It's not fun. There's no off' switch. I've managed to live the last ten years of my life making movies and flying under the radar. Nobody bothers me. This [Captain America] might change that."
Chris also talked about the challenge of portraying Captain America without losing the connection to the skinny, unfit, person his character Steve Rogers is before he transforms into his superhero alter ego.
The goal is that the audience still sees a glimmer of "skinny Steve" in the beefy powerhouse that is Captain America.
"He's not supposed to change that's why he was chosen, because he won't let his power go to his head. Even though he becomes this hero, this leader, he is the exact same guy he was when he was 100lbs lighter. (C) Cover Media
