(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Christina Aguilera has never been boy crazy because shes always focussed on her career.
The singer-and-actress has made a living by driving men wild thanks to her sexy dance moves and barely-there outfits. Off stage, she insists she is much more reserved and career-focussed, and has never got too caught up in finding love.
Even as a teenager the star had little time for boys, as she was so desperate to make it as a musician.
My first love was singing and I had no time for boys," she said. "I was never into the boy crazy thing because I was very focused on my career."
Christina still loves singing, but has recently turned her hand to acting. She plays Ali in new movie Burlesque, which also stars Cher. Ali is a small-town girl who moves to the city to get a new life, and it was a part Christina could relate to.
The 29-year-old had a tough childhood as her mother and father split when she was young. It isnt something she enjoys thinking about, but she called on the emotions she went through during that time while shooting the release.
Ali has a rough past and I could relate to her pain, growing up in an abusive household. My tears came from a very real place in my childhood where I normally wouldn't go, and to keep going back there for the movie was pretty intense, she explained to British newspaper The Daily Mirror.
"Although Ali and I had completely different backgrounds, we had to endure similar instability and chaos. I put a lot of my vulnerability into the part. Even though Ali is very persistent and driven, she has innocence about her that I can relate to." (C) Cover Media
