(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Christina Aguilera has filed for divorce from her estranged husband Jordan Bratman, according to reports.

The couple met in 2002 and went on to marry in California in 2005. They have two-year-old son Max together, and Christina confirmed they had separated earlier this week.

According to website TMZ she has now filed papers to end the marriage.

Aguilera cited irreconcilable differences in her divorce petition, which was filed today, the site reports.

The legal documents show the couple did sign a pre-nuptial agreement before tying the knot. They also state Christina and Jordan separated on September 11 2010.

The petition requests earnings and accumulations of [Aguilera] before marriage, during marriage and from and after the date of separation are viewed as separate.

Christina is being represented by attorney Laura Wasser. She has asked for Jordan not to be allowed to get child support, and for joint physical and legal custody of Max. (C) Cover Media
