Christina Aguilera: I feel inspired

29th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Christina Aguilera is being "inspired every day" to work on her new album.

The singer released her sixth record Bionic last year, but it was met with mixed reviews. She's now put the criticism behind her and has started penning tracks for her new LP.

Christina is currently appearing on television talent programme The Voice, which aims to find new singing talent. Auditions were held blind, so Christina and her fellow judges Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton had their backs to hopefuls as they performed.

Christina believes that made it fairer and revealing the whole process has helped her creative juices flow.

"I went into this show just looking to have a great time, laugh with the boys and put my heart and soul into coaching amazing raw talent and real vocalists. Which I think definitely sets this show apart from others," she told Rolling Stone in a video interview. "It's gonna surface in my own music and on my own albums. Because I'm getting inspired every day by working with everybody from the cast to the show to the other coaches, on and off screen and my team. Team Xtina, we're the best!"

The 30-year-old gets on well with her fellow judges, calling the boys "hysterical". She's impressed with how seriously everyone is taking the programme and thinks the way her co-stars nurture talent is admirable.

"We really put our all into our teams, that's also the difference. I thought it would be an amazing thing to bring up talent and be a part of someone else's journey while going through the next chapter of my life, recording my next album. It's a fun project to be part of," she said. (C) Cover Media
