Colin Firth: Oscar doesn't stay still

13th September 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Colin Firth says his Oscar "tends to migrate" around his house.

The British star was named best actor for his role in The King's Speech at the Academy Awards this year. Colin was thrilled to be given the prize and has revealed his family also enjoy having it around.

"Yes, I carried it around for a while and I showed it to anyone who was interested, but they all got bored of me," he joked when asked where he keeps his Oscar. "It's fantastic, it went to school with the kids for a while. It is there for anyone who wants to lay hands on it and it tends to migrate around the house a bit."

The star admits he is still coming to terms with his win.

Colin also revealed he is unsure how the accolade will affect his personal and professional life when quizzed during an interview on British TV show Lorraine

"I don't know, and I should be ready for that question, but I haven't really got an answer for it," he replied when asked if people's perceptions of him have changed. "They might have done and I think it is one of those things that if there is ever a biographer, maybe he can assess. I can't really judge it at the moment. Things are fairly active, so what sort of change it has made professionally I have no idea yet. And on a personal level, no not much." (C) Cover Media
