While the audio of Vijay starrer 'Nanban' was launched at a grand function in Coimbatore last week, the music of Dhanush's '3' was released in Chennai, for which the media was denied permission. It was said that the music launch was quite a hushed up event.
What irked the journalists was that they were initially invited to the event and when most of the reporters and lensmen were on the way, an e-mail was sent asking them not to attend the function.
The first e-mail received by journalists from a public relations agency read: 'The Music launch of movie '3' that was scheduled today at 6.00 pm at St George School has been cancelled due to unfavorable circumstances. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.'
Within minutes, another mail popped up, saying: 'The Music launch of movie '3' is scheduled today at the St George at 6.00pm but is exclusively for Sun TV Red FM and Suryan FM. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.'
A senior journalist said: 'We have no problem with the music launch function being an exclusive event. But the manner in which we were treated irked us. The organisers of the event should have been more clear with their priorities.'
