(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Courtney Love will write a memoir of her life.
The 47-year-old star is set to pen her autobiography this year. Courtney has just signed a book deal with publisher William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins.
The singer's editor is enthusiastic about the tome, and believes her controversial lifestyle will make for a compelling read.
"Courtney is one of the most fascinating and provocative artists of our time, one of those rare performers who continues to reinvent herself time and again throughout the arc of her career," Lynn Grady said in a statement.
Courtney will discuss her entire life in this book which will be co-authored by Anthony Bozza. Her relationship with now deceased husband Kurt Cobain and her history of drug use will be among the many topics that the star will discuss. The American star has been open about her struggle with various illegal and prescription medications in the past, but is now clean. Her strained relationship with daughter Frances Bean Cobain will also be included in the memoir.
Courtney and Frances have been estranged since 2009. Custody of Frances was taken from Courtney that year and given to her paternal grandmother Kimberly Cobain.
The untitled book is currently being written. It is set to be released in 2012. (C) Cover Media
