Daniel Balaji, who sent a chill down the spine of the audiences, with his impressive performance in the Kamal Haasan-starrer 'Vettaiyadu Vilayadu', is extremely choosy about his projects. 

His villainous act in 'Polladhavan' was critically acclaimed, as well.

The actor, who was missing from Kollywood action for a brief while, is now making a comeback with a film titled, 'Gnana Kirukkan', where he will play the lead.

Archana Kavi, who starred in 'Aravaan', will play his love interest in the film and Ilayadevan will handle the direction. The shoot for the film has already begun in Kumbakonam and a majority of the portions will be filmed in other parts of Tamil Nadu.

Daniel Balaji will be seen in a completely new avatar in this film.
