Daniel Radcliffe: I enjoyed reading eulogies

20th December 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Daniel Radcliffe has admitted that he used to have a "fascination" with death.

The Harry Potter star revealed that when he was a teenager he used to enjoy reading quotes about bereavement.

Daniel confessed it was odd behaviour, but he still wonders about the deceased.

"I'm going to make myself sound very odd now, but when I was younger, about 14 or 15, there was a period of about six months where the last thing I did every night before bed was read through the entire Last Words section of the Book of Quotations," he told British magazine Empire. "I had a kind of fascination with death."

However, that actor believes the interest in the dead and mortality has helped his acting skills.

Daniel has recently finished filming horror movie, The Woman in Black. The film follows a young lawyer who is still in the process of grieving after losing his wife.

"I've lost a couple of friends and one relative my grandmother on my dad's side," he explained. "Nothing that I've felt comes close to what it feels like, I imagine, for a young man to lose his wife. But I have a pretty active imagination." (C) Cover Media
