The permanent stunt director of all Darshan starrers, Ravi Verma, has been saved in real life from a serious mishap on the Bangalore Mysore highway. The star and the stunt master were returning to Bangalore in separate cars after shooting in Mysore for the film 'Chingari', when Verma's car hit a two-wheeler near Mandya. Mobs soon gathered and took Ravi Verma and his assistant Chinai to task. Trouble escalated when Verma allegedly thrashed one of the bike riders. 

Furious at the turn of events, the crowd started bashing up Verma. Realizing the gravity of the situation, he immediately fled the spot but Chinai was not so lucky. Meanwhile, the car Darshan was travelling in had travelled quite a distance on the highway. When he was informed about the scuffle on phone, he dashed to the spot and tried to pacify the crowd but the crowd was in no mood to listen to Darshan. They demanded Ravi Verma be returned to the spot and receive justice meted out by them. Darshan played the mediator to perfection and managed to calm them down.
