(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Dave Grohl has thanked his wife for her patience while he was recording his latest album.
The Foo Fighters frontman is preparing to release the groups seventh studio offering, titled Wasting Light. With the entire album being recorded in Daves garage, he freely admits that he has had to rely on his wife of seven years to be especially accommodating. The vocalist married Jordyn Blum in 2003 and the pair have two children together.
Dave believes recording the album in this unusual setting allowed him to create a unique sound which couldnt be matched by a conventional studio, but also confesses the whole project could have been shelved if it wasnt for his other half.
The missus has been really cool about me recording the album here. There were 25 people at my house every day. She understands thats my job. But more than that, its the one thing I do. I dont do anything else. I dont go hiking or have hobbies or sports or friends, I just do this, he told Elle magazine.
With all the hard work finished, Dave is hoping that his fans appreciate the project. The 42-year-old is understandably scared at the prospect of his album being rejected, but he is prepared to take that risk.
Now the record is almost finished thats the scariest thing, he explained. Because then everyone else gets to hear it and you cant change it and it stays forever. And what if they dont like it. (C) Cover Media
