September 25, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Guillermo Del Toro has just gone ahead and confirmed some really exhilarating rumors regarding his horror movie, entitled At the Mountains of Madness. Ron Perlman would also join the cast, depending upon his availability.

Guillermo Del Toro expressed his adoration and adulation for Perlman. He also added that in case Ron is available, he would surely be seen in the movie. In fact Del even said that he has written a character based on Ron Perlman.

At the Mountains of Madness is based on a work from iconic horror fiction writer H.P. Lovecraft. It is a horror novella that has the similar name. It's about a professor who leads a scientific voyage into Antarctica and soon discover some strange mountains, soon enough the horror unfolds.

Del Toro is quite psyched about Perlman's probable character. Ron is Larson, who is a dog lover and is a part of the expedition team. Del also said that he loves Ron's personality. He is an extremely practical guy, with zero beliefs about science, cosmology or anything mythical. The character is that of a hardcore and strong Nordic man. The character he says is written keeping him in mind.
