Demi Moore enjoyed on-set intimacy

27th January 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Demi Moore is proud of the intimacy she developed with her co-stars in Margin Call.

The movie follows key people working at an investment bank during the early stage of the global financial crisis, and stars a host of big names. As well as Demi, Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Irons, Zachary Quinto and Penn Badgley all appear, and Demi is amazed by how well they bonded on set.

The whole film was shot in 17 days, and the actress remains adamant it wouldnt have worked if the stars had not all made an effort with each other. By the time I was coming into it, there was an incredible energy that was very unique to this film. We were shooting and existing all in one space. Almost more like what you would get in a theatre experience, she explained. If we were thinking about something in a scene or had a question, we could literally walk right over and pop into the persons dressing room. If somebody was shooting we could we were all right there with each other every day when we were shooting. It allowed for an intimacy and a true ensemble that does not always happen and is not always the case.

All the stars had to get to grips with financial terms before they started work, which Demi also enjoyed. The 48-year-old doesnt want the subject matter to put cinemagoers off though, insisting the picture is more about the human element of the financial crisis.

I think weve all felt the effects, but we dont necessarily know what were the elements that lead to the moment. What this does is take you inside to the human aspect and to the individual participants, which was really fascinating to me, she told Collider.

Penn is equally as enthusiastic about the movie, due out later this year, and still cant believe he landed a part in it. The 24-year-old was thrilled to be surrounded by so many big names from the industry, and did his best to soak up the experience.

For me, just the fact that everybody else was doing it. I was like, Who the f**k would I be to not? he replied, when asked why he took part. I mean it was such an incredible and unique experience for me. (C) Cover Media
