Demi Moore is reportedly on "total lockdown" after entering a rehab facility.
The actress is believed to have decided to receive treatment for an eating disorder and addiction issues late last week.
E! News reports that Demi is staying at the Cirque Lodge in Utah and is completely focused on her recovery.
"She's on total lockdown and only talking to a small group of people," a source revealed. "It became clear to her that her way of coping with her stress was not working and she needed more help."
The Utah facility has helped a host of stars with personal problems. Former patients include Eva Mendes, Lindsay Lohan and Mary-Kate Olsen.
Demi reportedly decided to seek professional help days after being hospitalised when she collapsed at her Los Angeles home on January 23. She is believed to have smoked a substance "similar to incense" before suffering a seizure.
At the time her representative revealed the star was seeking "professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health".
The 49-year-old actress has been struggling to cope following the breakdown of her marriage to Ashton Kutcher.
Those close to Demi are feeling relieved she has entered the exclusive facility.
"She knows she's in a bad place and needs help," a source told Us Weekly. "Rehab is the only thing she can do right now. She needed something serious to get her back on track."
Demi previously entered rehab for drug and alcohol abuse in the mid 80s.
Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus has spoken out in defence of Demi.
She has taken to her Facebook page to insist that the actress deserves some privacy to get her life back on track.
"Everyone needs to leave Demi alone. She's been through so much the past year. She doesn't need the c**p. How can you talk c**p on someone you don't know?" Miley wrote.
"The media makes everyone in Hollywood seem "weak," "stupid," or "unbalanced" ...Just because she's in Hollywood doesn't mean she's on drugs. NOT EVERYONE IS ON DRUGS!!!
"Put yourself in her shoes. How are you supposed to hold up while everyone in the world is so nave and they believe everything the media says? Almost her entire life has been in the public eye (sic)."
On Friday, Demi's youngest daughter Tallulah celebrated her 18th birthday at her father Bruce Willis' Beverly Hills home.
