Demi Moore is reportedly doing all she can to ensure her daughter Rumer doesn't get "burned" by the celebrity lifestyle.

Demi has just completed a stint in rehab where she was treated for alleged substance abuse issues and an eating disorder. Her decision to get help came after she was hospitalised having collapsed while smoking a substance similar to marijuana.

Demi's problems are thought to have been exacerbated following her split from her husband Ashton Kutcher last year. Her 23-year-old daughter turned to Ashton while her mother was receiving care but Demi is apparently eager to start helping her herself.

"She thinks Ashton is too much of a party boy himself to stop Rumer from going down the wrong road," a source told Look magazine.

"Ashton is more of a friend to Rumer than a father, but now Demi fears Rumer could get burned, just like she did."

Demi began looking frail following her split from Ashton, which came after he allegedly cheated on her.

She reportedly heard Rumer was starting to slim down while she was in rehab, which is another reason she has vowed to keep a close eye on her daughter.
