(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Denise Richards' friends reportedly think she's close to reuniting with Charlie Sheen.

The divorced couple have two daughters together, Sam, seven, and six-year-old Lola. They've had a tumultuous relationship in the past but are now on good terms.

They are currently holidaying in an undisclosed tropical location together for Christmas, along with Denise's adopted baby daughter Eloise. Pals apparently think it could be the start of a new chapter in the pair's relationship.

"She's the only girl who can deal with Charlie and who has come close to handling him as much as anyone can handle Charlie," a friend of Denise's told Chicago Sun-Times.

Charlie and Denise have both discussed their holiday on social networking website Twitter.

The actor has updated his fans on his vacation plans, posting pictures of himself fishing early in the morning.

Denise is also having a great time and has particularly enjoyed swimming with her children.

"Great morning with the kids...swam with the dolphins..as @charliesheen would say.. it was #epic (sic)," she wrote.

Charlie was also in awe of the animals, and felt compelled to post a picture of one he met with the children and Denise.

"...just when we thought the trip couldn't get any better... we met Nuna.. (sic)!!" he captioned the shot.

Charlie and Denise married in 2002 but she filed for divorce three years later. The split was acrimonious, with Denise accusing Charlie of threatening violence and using alcohol and drugs. Their divorce was finalised in 2006.

The pair have since grown close again for the sake of their kids. Denise has repeatedly said she wants Charlie involved in her daughters' lives, although she shielded them from his public meltdown earlier this year. (C) Cover Media
