(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Vanessa Minnillo has a "conception calendar" which she hopes will help her get pregnant.

The American star married Nick Lachey earlier this year and the pair are keen to start a family.

Things have taken a little longer than the couple expected so Vanessa has now started looking into ways which could help speed up the process.

"They are desperate to start a family. Nick and Vanessa are getting really frustrated at how long it's taking to conceive," a source told National Enquirer

"She's taking fertility supplements and even has a conception calendar."

Vanessa, 31, is still going out and having a good time, but has stopped drinking alcohol.

She and Nick have also agreed to put some aspects of their lives on hold as they try to get pregnant.

"It might not seem romantic but there are times of the month when they cut themselves off from everything and focus on the baby plan," the insider said. (C) Cover Media
