A couple of days earlier, news about Andrea Jeremiah walking out of Selvaraghavan's 'Erandam Ulagam', was published. One of the leading English newspapers had mentioned that Andrea was not happy with Selvaraghavan and Gitanjali's engagement, which made her opt out of this project. Apparently, Richa Gangopadhyay was signed for the film. Dhanush slaps down such rumors saying that, it's true that Andrea is replaced by Richa Gangopadhyay but not for the reason mentioned. The reporters could have clarified with Selvaraghavan before making such stories.

'Erandam Ulagam' brings the brothers Selvaraghavan and Dhanush together for the fourth time and their previous films 'Thulluvadho Ilamai', 'Kadhal Konden' and 'Pudhupettai' have won critical acclaim.

'Erandam Ulagam' is reported to be a poignant love story set in the backdrops of a medical college and G.V. Prakash has scored the music.
