Following the grand success of 'Kaavalan', Vijay has now set his focus upon his next film 'Velayudham'. The film is produced by Aascar Films Pvt. Ltd and is directed by Jeyam Raja. This is the first time that Raja is making a film without his younger brother Ravi in the lead role. The film's music release was supposed to take place this evening at the Nehru Indoor Stadium and it was to be released by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha but since she is busy forming the Government with her cabinet members, the audio launch has been postponed.

Vijay's 'Velayudham' was supposed to hit screens for Diwali but is now pre-poned as Vijay's other film 'Nanban' is scheduled for a Christmas release.
