(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Leonardo DiCaprio and Blake Lively have reportedly split.

The couple, who have only been dating for a few months, are said to have gone their separate ways after a recent family vacation to Italy did not go well.

Leonardo took the Gossip Girl actress to meet his mother Irmelin DiCaprio, according to Now magazine.

The actress was apparently so nervous that she talked a lot about her television show and Chanel modelling career which was a turn off for her boyfriend's mother.

Leonardo, who is close to Irmelin, took her advice and told Blake that he needed his space.

A source close to Blake told the magazine that the actress is devastated about the split from the Titanic star.

"Blake's a total mess. She tried hard to impress Leo's mom when they met but Irmelin couldn't stand her," the friend said.

"She told Leo that Blake was far too up herself for him. Leo listens to his mom and the fact that she didn't like her has put him off." (C) Cover Media
