(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Foo Fighters have been forced to deny they are splitting up.
The rock band is fronted by Dave Grohl, who sparked speculation they were calling it quits during a show over the weekend. Fans became so concerned there would be no more music from the guitar group their publicist has released a statement to quell fears.
"They are definitely not breaking up," the spokesperson said.
The band was playing in New York's Central Park on Saturday when Dave made the remarks. He told the crowd that he and his bandmates Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Taylor Hawkins and Chris Shiflett were looking forward to taking some time out after the show.
"This is it, man. We don't have any [shows] after this. This is the show where we come out and we play as many songs as we can in a short period of time, because honestly, I don't know when we're going to do it again," he said. "Last chance to dance!"
The band has been on the road with their Wasting Light World Tour.
In 2011, Dave created panic when he announced they were taking a break after a show in the UK. He later claimed his comments were taken out of context. (C) Cover Media
