Just recently on the eve of Bollywood thespian Dilip Kumar's 90th birthday, the Pakistani fans of the global star surprised him by wishing him on his birthday in a special way by gathering at his birthplace in Pakistan.
Groups of fans and journalists had gathered in Peshawar where Dilip Kumar was born as Mohammad Yusuf Khan. It was also heard that the Pakistani government was trying to buy his ancestral home in Peshawar from the current owners and turn it into a museum of his memoirs.
Though, they were finding it difficult to crack the deal, we now hear that they have successful acquired the possession of Dilip Saab's ancestral home and they will preserve it as a national heritage.
Minister for Culture, Mian Iftikhar Hussain announced this plan recently. While the birthday celebrations too were announced by Cultural Heritage Council (CHC), the government taking so many efforts to preserve Dilip Kumar's heritage is overwhelming.
They have exclaimed this act to be their effort towards reconciliation and development of personal bonds between the estranged neighboring countries.
