Director Shankar had signed Abburi Ravi to pen dialogues for the Telugu version of '3 Idiots' remake that has Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth donning the lead characters. The film has already started rolling and the director is very much impressed with the dialogues of Abburi Ravi. Initially, the director asked Ravi to read 109 scenes from the film and he went through the script for many numbers of times as much as the scenes. But he managed to impress Shankar by just getting Okayed right on the first time itself. Much impressed with his work, Shankar asked Ravi to write dialogues for the Tamil version as well, but he couldn't take up the offer due to his prior commitments with many projects that include Pawan Kalyan's movie directed by Vishnuvardhan and couple of other movies including Naga Chaitanya's untitled flick.
