(Cover) - EN Fashion - Stefano Gabbana says his last boyfriend was jealous of the bond he shares with his business partner and former love Domenico Dolce.

The Italian fashion designers founded their iconic label Dolce & Gabbana in 1985, and were together both professionally and romantically for 18 years.

Stefano and Domenico ended their romance in 2005, but they admit that it has been hard to move on as they still have such a strong bond.

“I have had a recent relationship where probably there was jealousy of him. We don’t need to talk, just a look and we know. I understand him and he understands me. This is rare. He is my brother,” Stefano said of Domenico in an interview with the British edition of Elle magazine.

Stefano went on to explain that he tries not to compare potential partners to Domenico as he knows he will probably never share such a unique relationship with anyone else.

“It is not right to compare anyone to Domenico. What we have is for the rest of our lives,” he added.

Domenico discussed how the pair have both matured in recent years, admitting that Stefano used to live life on the edge.

“With more experience, he has grown up. When we started together, he was very dangerous,” recalled Domenico. “He is much better now, like a good wine – more quiet, more available.” (C) Cover Media
