Drew Barrymore is enjoying a "stable, normal kind of vibe" in her personal life for the first time.
The Never Been Kissed star couldn't be happier following her engagement to boyfriend of one year, art consultant Will Kopelman.
Drew is glad her life is no longer as unstable as it was growing up. She loves spending time with Will, business partner Nancy Juvonen and her husband Jimmy Fallon and Cameron Diaz.
"We go on group trips togetherthere's a lot of love! And that is really nice and very different from the way I grew up, which was more unstable and inconsistent, with a lot of highs and lows," she told UK magazine Elle.
The 37-year-old endured a notoriously troubled childhood. She hit the headlines for taking illicit drugs as young as 11 and partying at Studio 54 following her rise to fame in ET: the Extra-Terrestrial in 1982.
"It's funny, when I was younger I used to say I'd hate a flat line that I want the ups and downs, the roller coaster. But I'm actually really enjoying the flat line," she laughed
Drew is currently promoting her latest film Big Miracle, a romantic drama based on the 1989 book Freeing the Whales about Operation Breakthrough, the 1988 international effort to rescue grey whales after they became trapped in Alaska.
