(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Drew Barrymore and Justin Long have adopted a dog together, in practice for when they have kids.

The actress has been in an on/off relationship with Justin for several years, and they appeared in recent movie Going the Distance together. Both have been reluctant to discuss their romance in public, but it is thought they have grown closer recently.

The pair have got a dog called Douglas together, and are bonding over giving the seven-month-old pooch a home. Drew jokes that theyre practicing for when they have kids, a source explained.

Drews 16-year-old Labrador-mix Flossie passed away in July, leaving her devastated. Although she and Justin were taking time apart when Flossie died, he immediately called to check she was alright.

He knew how much Flossie meant to her. He was really there for her, the source added.

Justin even went to India with Drew so she could scatter Flossies ashes, showing her how deep his feelings for her were. (C) Cover Media
