Dwayne Johnson inspired by Eastwood

29th November 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Dwayne Johnson didnt practice moves for his latest film in front of the mirror as he didnt want to scare himself.

The 38-year-old was known as The Rock during his time as a professional wrestler, although he has since ventured into movies and can next be seen in action thriller Faster.

Dwayne is thrilled about starring in films, and admits he was busy perfecting his hard-man stare beforehand. He decided not to risk looking at his own reflection though as he thought he might give himself a fright.

I didnt practice in front of a mirror. I didnt want to scare myself, he joked in an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times.

Dwayne also got ready for the role by studying the works of his action hero idol Clint Eastwood. The hunk didnt mind watching 80-year-old Clints back catalogue at all, and considered it a particularly enjoyable way to prepare for a film.

That action-guy squint isnt easy. You need to go to the master. I watched a lot of Clint Eastwood movies, which was fun homework, he added.

Dwayne portrays the character Driver in the movie, which recounts the story of an ex-con who sets out to avenge his brother's death. (C) Cover Media
