(Cover) - EN Star Style - Ed Westwick cannot believe how much money is spent on Gossip Girl costumes.

The 23-year-old British actor found fame in the US playing Chuck Bass on American teen series Gossip Girl.

The show follows the lives of a group of glamorous youngsters living in New York, and has turned its female stars such as Blake Lively and Leighton Meester into fashion icons. That isnt to say the male cast get overlooked though, with Ed confessing he adores the designer garb he gets to wear on the programme. He is astounded by how expensive some of the garments his character wears are.

Some of the stuff, Im like, Where did you get this? just so I can go to the shop and get it. But were not allowed to keep any. Warner Brothers auction it off to get some of the money back. The amount they spend on clothes... he exclaimed.

Ed feels Chucks look has developed a great deal lately, although he thinks the main reason the character is deemed a style icon is due to the confidence he exudes. Ed really enjoys playing a character that is so suave and oozes confidence.

The clothes have become their own thing. More so in the last two years. But its the character. Hes so super-confident in that respect, he told more! magazine. (C) Cover Media
