'Eega' picked for India's Oscar nomination

The fantastic love story, that blew audiences out of their mind, has now joined the elite club. Yes we are talking about the movie 'Eega' that made the box-office go wild with excitement.

The best part now is that it is nominated for the Oscars for the Best Foreign Language Film by the Indian Federation. 'Eega' is the only Telugu movie, amongst 18 other films that is selected and the best will be picked from the entries that will be screened in Hyderabad from September 18 to 26.

'Eega' released in the month of July, which simultaneously had a Tamil (Naan Ee) and Malayalam (Eecha) version, that was released too. All three versions has Sudeep playing the antogonist, while Nani and Samantha Ruth Prabhu played the couple in love. The story revolves around Nani and Samantha who fall in love, but Sudeep lusts for her hence he kills Nani to get him away. In a revengeful moment, Nani takes birth as a fly and harrasses Sudeep till death does them apart.

A lovely story narrated in a very unique manner, S.S. Rajamouli, the director of the film won accolades for his work. He was hailed by the top stars of Tollywood and Kollywood as well. It is also heard that the movie will be dubbed and released in Hindi as 'Makhi', which is touted to be in October.

Well, let us hope this Oscar nomination wins the best pick as well.
