Abhishek Chaubey has commenced the shooting of his next most talked about project 'Udta Punjab'. It happens to be one of the most promising projects says an insider.

Reportedly Ekta Kapoor, head honcho of Balaji Motion Pictures was narrated the concept of the film and she was blown away by it. And thus, decided to join hands with Phantom Films for one more time.

Speaking about the deal, Ekta said, "Udta Punjab is one film I'm most excited about. I've always admired the work Phantom does and collaborating with them on a project, that boasts of such fantastic talent, is exciting."

Vikramaditya Motwane says, "Balaji partnered with us on Lootera earlier, our very first film. Therefore, it's an emotional relationship for us and we're delighted to be collaborating with them once again on Udta Punjab. It's a script, a director and cast we're very happy with and we're excited about the way it has come together."

The film revolves around the serious issues in Punjab.
