(Cover) - EN Showbiz - George Clooneys girlfriend Elisabeta Canalis has been photographed in the nude for animal rights organization PETA.

The Italian model supported the global campaign against the cruel treatment of animals in the fur industry by posing without any clothes.

Known for their Id rather go naked than wear fur campaigns, Elisabetta joined the ranks of other famous PETA faces, including Pamela Anderson and Eva Mendes, who have stripped for the good cause .

"I think this is the best reason why I got naked in my life," she told website ET Online.

George Clooneys girlfriend revealed that she could still vividly remember watching a TV programme about the maltreatment of animals as a child.

The TV presenter said that the memories haunt her to this day and inspired her to help PETA.

"I was a kid, a little girl, and was watching TV at home and they showed a documentary. And in the documentary I saw how they killed little animals, like electrocuting them, drowning them, bludgeoning them, she described the brutal scenes. I was shocked because I was a little girl, but by that moment I thought that I would never, never, never, wear fur in my life." (C) Cover Media
