Elizabeth Banks: Motherhood won't affect career

9th August 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Elizabeth Banks says she is determined not to let being a mother affect her career.

The 37-year-old welcomed baby Felix back in March via a gestational carrier.

And although she says her career and parenting balance is not going "that well" she is not intending to slow down.

"I'm not really a break-taker," the Spider-Man actress told People magazine. "I'll just keep on going, and then we'll see. You push through just like any other working mom."

The actress is staring in upcoming movies The Hunger Games and What to Expect When You're Expecting.

"The thing about motherhood is it's a full time job and everything else gets piled into it," she said.

"I don't think I ever really understood that until it came into my life. You put so much of your brain energy, and your emotional and psychological energy into, Where is he? What is he doing?' that it's almost hard to concentrate on anything else." (C) Cover Media
