(Cover) - EN Star Style - Elizabeth Hurley says the only people able to pull off a thong style bikini are "18-year-old Brazilians".
The 46-year-old British beauty currently owns her own eponymous beachwear line, and has revealed her top tips for wowing in a bikini this summer.
The model-and-actress, who is famed for her stunning looks and enviable figure, says that as a general rule, women should steer clear of thong style swimwear, as it doesn't tend to flatter.
"Avoid thongs. We refuse point blank to make them. The only people I've seen pull off a thong are 18-year-old Brazilians. They look phenomenal but for the rest of us forget it," she said in an interview with Grazia magazine.
Elizabeth insists people are too "hung up" with comparing themselves to other people on the beach. The stunning star thinks women should learn to embrace their figures, and lighten up about their body worries.
"Be confident, whatever your hang-ups. When you're on the beach 95% of the people have got normal bodies and they all look fantastic. We all have to ease up a bit," she mused.
Elizabeth says women should be more experimental when it comes to bikini cuts. The mother-of-one argues keeping "an open mind" about what suits your figure will result in a more successful shopping trip.
"Try on as many as you can. People dread swimsuits so much they don't try on enough styles, but it's only by doing that, that you will appreciate what suits you," she explained. "Keep an open mind. Very often people think, Oh, I've got a really big bottom, I need a really big bikini to cover it.' But actually that doesn't necessarily make it look smaller. Sometimes it's sexier to cut it higher and see your great bottom in a sexy bikini." (C) Cover Media
