Elle Macpherson says Ashton Kutcher was a "fantastic" presenting partner at yesterday's Golden Globes Awards.

The stunning star took to the stage alongside Ashton at Sunday's prestigious ceremony to present the award for Best Actress in a Television Comedy Series.

Elle was full of praise for the newly-single Hollywood actor.

"Presenting with Ashton," Elle told US Weekly when asked what her favourite part of the event was, before adding he was "was fantastic and supportive".

Elle says Ashton's height was a great factor when deciding who she was to co-present alongside. The stunning supermodel says the hunk rivalled her stature even when she was wearing skyscraper heels.

"I think probably because we are the same height!" she exclaimed when asked what made Ashton the perfect on-stage partner. "He was the only person I could present with.

"I was very nervous because this is the first time I've been to the Golden Globes."

Elle wowed on the Globes red carpet in a stunning Zac Posen gown. The 47-year-old star insisted that she didn't have to change up her diet to pour her famously toned curves into the dress though.

"Actually, I had chicken fingers and fries at lunch! I was so hungry I swear to goodness!" she joked.

"You can call the Peninsula hotel and check my room service bill!"
