Emily Blunt jokes about disliking co-star

23rd December 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Emily Blunt has joked that she agreed to star in Gullivers Travels for every reason other than Billy Connolly.

The 27-year-old actress appears alongside a host of stars including Jack Black and Scottish funnyman Billy in the family comedy which has been adapted from the classic novel by Jonathan Swift.

Emily was excited to be involved in the film, which follows the adventures of a man named Lemuel Gulliver played by Jack - as he ends up stranded on an island of little people. Emily portrays the islands Princess Mary, and teased Billy that her enthusiasm for the project was nothing to do with him.

I did the movie for every reason other than Billy Connolly, she laughed to Cover Media.

The beautiful actress made the cheeky comment after Billy had made a swipe at her and their fellow Gullivers Travels co-stars. The joker had mocked Emily and Jack by telling them he was only interested in working with Catherine Tate, the successful British comedienne who plays his wife in the film.

She was the reason I did the movie, Catherine Tate, the rest of the actors I couldnt give a s**t about, he laughed. (C) Cover Media
