Emily Blunt admits that she laughs to rid herself of "nervous energy."
The Hollywood actress, who stars opposite Jason Segel in The Five-Year Engagement, finds humour in bizarre situations.
At times, Emily feels that she can't control the chortles that arise from within.
"I laugh at everything," Emily told MTV News. "I found myself laughing at my grandfather's funeral because I had that nervous energy where you're like, 'I don't know how to cope with it.' So, I think the more pressure I'm under from the cast and crew not to laugh, the more I'll undoubtedly laugh."
Emily recently reflected on a fit of laughter that ensued when she met President Barack Obama last December.
"Obama, that was my worst, I was so starstruck. The Kennedy Center was honouring Meryl Streep and asked me to go along and say a bit. Afterwards, we were at the White House having cocktails and this woman said, Would you like to meet President Obama?' They introduced me and then he turned to me and went, Oh. Oh. You are a wonderful actress.' And I laughed, screechingly and hysterically. I couldn't stop," she gushed in the May issue of UK Elle magazine. "They had to usher me away. I fell apart. I don't know what happened to me. He looked nine-feet tall. I think my eyes rolled back in my head. I gave Michelle a hug and she had skin like silk."
