(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Emma Roberts used to think being sexy was out of the question for her because of her lack of curves.
The 20-year-old actress spent many of her teenage years wishing for a different figure, but has come to realise she must accept herself as she is. She hopes to show other girls the importance of being confident, explaining beauty doesnt have to be the Hollywood ideal.
Sexy when I was younger always meant boobs, and Ive never had boobs in my life so I always felt that sexy was out of the question for me, she told Seventeen. I used to really want to be that kind of voluptuous girl, and Ive just kind of embraced that Im not.
She added starting work at such a young age her first roles were in 2001 had a huge impact on her. Juggling shooting movies and schoolwork was tough and she constantly worried she wasnt doing well enough. She has now learnt she doesnt have to be perfect at everything, and says its a lesson she wishes shed realised sooner as she is much happier now.
Emma also opened up about love, musing that boys dont put as much effort in as girls when it comes to dating. She tries not to obsess about having a boyfriend as she knows that can put people off.
When it comes to love, always be open. Because the second youre not pining after a boy, or a boyfriend, incredible [love] comes into your life, she said.
Boys these days dont really pursue girls. I think they sit back and let girls come to them. And I dont know how, if you have feelings for someone, you dont want to pursue her, and make her feel fantastic about herself!
The star isnt totally pragmatic about love though, she still enjoys daydreaming about her wedding. She can spend hours thinking about what her future spouse will be like and cant wait to meet him when the time is right.
Sometimes when Im going to sleep, I think, Oh God, my future husband is out there somewhere and I might know him, or I might not, and I wonder what hes doing and I wonder if he knows me, she revealed. I just always think thats so fascinating, that even when you were two years old, your future husband was out there somewhere. (C) Cover Media
